This large handmade stoneware planter is well suited for larger houseplants, shallow-rooted plants, and small trees. It includes a matching drainage plate for indoor use. High-fired to cone 11–12 (approximately 2400°F), the dense, durable stoneware is less porous and more resistant to cold weather than traditional terracotta.
The planter is salt-glazed and features traditional Japanese Hakame brushed-slip decoration beneath John's classic Midwest Prairie Grass brushwork.
It measures 12" in diameter and 7" tall, not including the plate.
Care: If used outdoors in freezing temperatures, ensure the planter drains freely to prevent water from collecting and freezing.
